Well, Hurricane Irene has come and gone but many in our state are still feeling her effects! The teachers just went back to school today and the students will come in on Tuesday, Sept. 2., that is a week later than scheduled. That means less time quilting, sewing and blogging--but a little quilting a day is better than none at all!
I have been doing some type of quilting everyday--and that makes me feel good! I am sewing the binding on my flower quilt (earlier post) and working on my new Halloween quilt:
As well as enjoying the blooms in my garden:
and the fading butterfly bush; although it is still very active with various butterflies and bees:
So, I am still enjoying the very warm afternoons and all that is still blossoming as we move into September and fall. My cat and corgi helpers staying close at hand both in the quilt room and outside for the corgi!
Until our next visit, keep quilting!
Perfect little quilt to snuggle under on those cool Autumn nights! So cute.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the feeling of finishing something ?? Great flower pictures. Hugs--- sandie
ReplyDeleteI fit in two hours a day. It works, sorta like the tortise and the hare.
ReplyDeleteHalloween quilt is beautiful! Love the flowers too!
ReplyDeleteOne of the worst things to have to go threw is a Hurricane... so hard on some. I'm glad to hear your doing ok from it. Pretty flowers good the storm didn't harm them.Trish
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, I wondered if you had signed up for the "Ghastlies Blog Hop"! I am going to make a quilt using the "Big EZ" pattern. LOL! I made a baseball quilt for a grand nephew and thought it would be perfect. I bought way too much fabric, but you can never tell when you might get a "Ghastlie" urge. Like minds...
ReplyDeleteI am loving your kitty Halloween quilt!! Lucky you to still have beautiful blooms to enjoy. Your Hibiscus is gorgeous! I'm enjoying the blooms of Fall now...mums. :-)
