As promised, more from our class with Jackie and the ladies in the class! Such great combinations--it really is hard to choose a favorite block....so, let's take a look at Sharon's blocks:
Look how smart and creative Sharon is, she made small crazy patch blocks out of the scraps!
I better show my blocks; some people are asking where they are, like my teacher--I think she is trying to see if I really am working--I am, I am:
See, I got a lot more done! Now I have to show you Maria's block and the special treat that Maria brought in to share with us:
First her blocks:
This is the Christmas Tree Skirt that Maria brought in to share with us--isn't this the most beautiful tree skirt you have ever seen? That is Maria beaming on the right--gorgeous, just gorgeous. She told us that she completed this tree skirt in 6 days at a retreat and it was her first Judy Niemeyer! Wow!!!
Well, that is the up date from this class; one more to go in a couple of weeks! If you ever have a chance to take a class from Jackie, jump on it--you will learn so much and accomplish even the most difficult quilts with ease! Happy quilting!
I really love all the blocks!! Great job!!!! Many hugs
ReplyDeleteAll of these quilt blocks are gorgeous. Since I do not quilt they look very complicated. That tree skirt is stunning. Happy quilting...
ReplyDeleteBarb, your blocks are wonderful. All the blocks the other class participants made are super. I like all the colors. I would be in heaven sitting in that class looking at all those lucious fabrics. Wow! Thanks for sharing .
ReplyDeleteYour units are looking wonderful!! I love the four H-unit- with-the-KMs that you showed-- they are beautiful!! I'm still going slow as a snail and am almost all finished with my H units. (Don't tell Jackie, but I'm just slow and if I try to pick up the pace, I make mistakes). Hoping to kick butt this weekend. Happy quilting!! HOpe you're well-prepared for today's snowstorm!

ReplyDeleteI have always liked quilts with lots of circular piecing and lots of points. That last picture with the big round piece is very striking.
